Hello, this is the MonMon Masters Development Team.
We are deeply grateful every day for the enthusiastic support our Masters have shown us since the global launch. Today, we would like to inform you of an adjustment to certain skill energy charge speeds confirmed on the live server, and the related combat tempo optimization work.
We have identified a situation in the current combat system where the skill energy charge speed of all enemies (monsters and bosses) across all combat content — as well as your own MonMon — has been running somewhat faster than originally intended.
[Cause and Current Status]
This was caused by the skill energy charge logic being applied twice during the April 27th update (version 0.26.22). We sincerely apologize for the confusion this has caused to your play experience as a result of insufficient review over an extended period.
Since many Masters have already grown accustomed to the current faster skill cycle, our development team gave serious consideration to keeping this as the new official spec. However, continuing in this state risked undermining the enjoyment of strategic deck-building and precise timing play in upcoming key content such as Boss Raids and PvP.
In order for MonMon Masters to remain a healthy game that delivers deep, lasting fun, we concluded that it is necessary to rebalance the speed in line with the original design intent, even if it may feel slightly unfamiliar at first. We sincerely ask for your understanding.
[Combat Environment Changes]
This update will be applied sometime this week once marketplace review is complete. Since this adjustment applies equally to both allies and enemies, it is less a change in actual combat difficulty and more a normalization of the overall combat tempo to what the development team originally intended.
* Simultaneous adjustment of enemy (monster/boss) charge speed: This adjustment is applied at the same ratio to both allies and enemies, so the overall framework of content difficulty design remains intact. However, since combat unfolds through the interplay of skill timing between allies and enemies, some content may feel easier than before while other content may feel somewhat more challenging once the tempo normalizes. In particular, sections where you had been clearing with strategies tailored to the faster tempo may feel noticeably different.
* Ongoing monitoring: After the update, we will closely monitor changes in play time and progression data, and will flexibly adjust dungeon balance as needed.
Masters who were accustomed to the previous faster combat tempo may feel briefly disoriented by the change in gameplay feel. We apologize for any inconvenience this adjustment may cause and ask for your understanding.
[Informational Reward]
To support Masters as they adjust to the updated combat tempo, we are sending the following rewards with our gratitude.
* Reward contents: Sacred Egg ×1, Ancient Egg ×5, Energy ×2,000, Continuous Battle Ticket ×200, 1,000,000 Gold
* Eligible recipients: All Masters who played the game as of the time of this notice
We will continue to do our best to deliver an even more polished and stable combat experience for all of our Masters.
