MonMon Masters Service Center UPDATE NOTE
2026.08.21 Update Notes

Hello, this is the MonMon Masters development team.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the Masters who have always shown MonMon Masters such warm interest and love. In this v1.5 update, the climbing-style content 'Abandoned Tower' opens its doors, putting the entire team of MonMon you have lovingly raised to the test. Alongside it, Global Chat and the Battle Pass are being added, allowing you to connect with Masters from around the world.

With this update, we are carrying out a major overhaul of core combat systems, including the stat calculation formula and buff-resolution logic. This is meant to create a healthier combat environment where a wider variety of MonMon can be used strategically, but as a result, meaningful changes may occur in the perceived performance of MonMon you have long relied on, as well as in team-building approaches. To ensure smooth play, please be sure to review the detailed 「Combat Balance Adjustments」 section at the bottom of this notice.

📢 v1.5 Content Update Rollout Notice
The new version (v1.5), which includes new content and combat system changes, has passed app store review and will be released as a "no-maintenance store update," without any separate server maintenance. We recommend visiting the store you're currently using and updating the game to the latest version.

[Content Opening Schedule]

  • Global Chat, convenience improvements, combat balance adjustments, etc.: Applied immediately once the app update is complete on the store
  • Abandoned Tower Season 1: Scheduled to begin Thursday, August 24 (UTC+0)
  • Battle Pass Season 1: Scheduled to begin Thursday, August 27 (UTC+0)

New Content: Abandoned Tower

An ancient, ruined tower inhabited by a colossal Legendary MonMon newly opens its gates.

  • Unlock Condition: Opens upon reaching Tamer Level 35
  • A climbing-style challenge content made up of 3 new bosses.
  • We plan to keep expanding the roster of bosses going forward, offering a variety of rotations each season.

3 New MonMon

The 3 newly joining MonMon each have a clear role where they shine, so set your goals according to your own strategy.
[Legendary / Attack / Ghost] Bonelet → Barone → Baronarch
[Epic / Control / Poison] Venlet → Venswift → Toxbeak
[Epic / Defense / Electric] Voltie → Voltoid → Voltitan

New Systems: Global Chat & Battle Pass

Global Chat

  • Unlock Condition: Opens upon reaching Field 1-10
  • A Global Chat space is added, letting you talk with Tamers across all servers.

Battle Pass

  • Unlock Condition: Opens upon reaching Field 1-3
  • Clear daily/weekly pass quests and collect points to earn rewards.
  • As a key benefit, the Gold Pass provides a Battle Pass-exclusive Battle XP and Gold boost.

Convenience Improvements

  • Added an overview of entry currencies and a content shortcut feature. You can now check them conveniently from the currency bar at the top.
  • Added a convenience feature that lets you send MonMon straight to Storage upon hatching. (Unlocked at Tamer Level 40)
  • Added a feature that sorts entries with notifications to the top in the Mondex.
  • Adjusted the Dungeon UI so you can more clearly see the effect text applied to Dungeon Bosses.

Combat Balance Adjustments

1. Adjusted the calculation formula for abilities that increase/decrease stats in battle
Under the previous method, the more stat increase/decrease effects stacked, the more the final result inevitably ballooned. Left as is, only a small handful of specific combinations would remain the "correct answer," and content difficulty would inevitably be balanced around those combinations, so we changed the formula.

  • Before: Increase/decrease effects were multiplied together
  • After: All increase/decrease effects are summed first, then multiplied once

2. Shield Buff Renewal
Previously, it made no difference who applied a Shield — the result was always the same. Since the caster's stats were not reflected at all, there was little reason to invest in raising MonMon with Shield abilities, and each MonMon's individuality didn't come through. With this change, it becomes clear which direction to raise a MonMon with Shield abilities, and the more you invest in it, the larger the Shield value becomes. The base stat used is noted in the skill description.

  • Before: The Shield value was determined solely based on the Max HP of the buff's recipient
  • After: The base stat used to calculate the Shield value now differs depending on the buff's caster. As a result of this change, the base stat for the Shield value has been diversified across MonMon that already had Shield-granting abilities

3. Changed How Buff Removal Is Resolved
Under the previous method, results varied widely even when the same skill was used in the same situation. The more Buffs a target was carrying, the more often you'd get a middling result where only some were stripped away, making it hard to plan Buff Removal into your battle strategy. We changed this to a single, all-at-once resolution so success and failure are now clearly determined. As a result, Buff Removal abilities become more reliable, and the value of the RES stat, which guards against it, becomes clearer as well.

  • Before: The chance to remove each Buff was judged individually, one at a time
  • After: A single roll is applied to all of them at once

4. Adjusted the Criteria for Current-HP-Based Targeting
With the previous method, "current-HP-based targeting" often ended up selecting a target different from what was originally intended, so we adjusted the criteria to fix this.

  • Before: The target with the highest or lowest HP percentage
  • After: The target with the highest or lowest current HP value, based on absolute HP

5. Red Crystal Island Dungeon Balance Adjustment
This Dungeon was intended to be cleared by reducing or ignoring the boss's DEF, but the boss's DEF was excessively high, making it harder to clear than intended. We adjusted the boss's stats and skills so that reducing its DEF is reliably rewarded.

  • Previously, reducing the boss's DEF had only a minimal effect.
  • We adjusted the boss's stats and skills so that applying a DEF-decrease debuff or reducing its DEF stat makes the boss significantly easier to clear.

Cosmite's abilities have been reworked so it can be used in a wider range of Masters' strategies.

  • Sabotage (Passive): Changed from its previous debuff-spread effect into a more reliable one — dealing a critical hit with a skill now applies [Buff Block] to all enemies for 5 seconds.
  • Emergency (Passive): Replaced the previous Attack Speed buff — while in [Stealth], basic attacks now have a 30% chance to inflict [Blind] on the target for 3 seconds, greatly increasing survivability and its ability to create swing moments.

Bug Fixes & Optimization

  • Fixed an issue where a Revive skill could target an ally under [Revive Block], causing the revive to fail.
  • Zaplet-related bug fixes
    • Fixed an issue where the skill and passive skill [Electric Barrier] was applying to all allies and enemies, when it should only apply to allies and enemies near itself.
    • Fixed an issue where the passive skill [Energy Discharge] actually targets a single random enemy, but the skill description stated it affected all enemies near itself.
  • Fixed an issue where Runestones and Accessories would intermittently fail to equip.
  • Fixed an issue where movement on the Field would intermittently stop working.
  • Fixed an issue where Club Raid Lordrake rewards would sometimes only refresh after restarting the game.
  • Fixed a display error in the Runestone Rank shown for Tournament rewards.
  • Fixed an error where Jetty's Ignore DEF ability actually applies to "all bosses," but the skill description stated "Dungeon Bosses."
